Happy New Year Everyone! I hope you all
enjoyed the festive season and didn't get yourselves in too much
trouble. Ok we kicked the year off a week or so back with a show up in
the good old Gong with
Unpaid Debt
and
Topnovil, it was a pretty good show considering we'd just
come off a week on it down the south coast, and its always good playing
along side the Debt.
To the Under 18s we will be doing some All Age shows soon, stay
tuned! 20 December
That's it for us for 2006, Huge
thanks to everyone that has come out to the shows throughout the year,
all the bands we've played with and anyone else that has supported us in
one way or another.
Hope you all have an awesome
Christmas and an even better New Year, Catch ya in 2007!
2 November Well we played little ol Batlow a week or so back which was a heap of fun, the set up was cool our stage was a Batlow Apple Semi trailer. We may have missed the Caulfield Cup but to compensate we had stock horses head banging while we played, now that's a first. Big thanks to Heather and all involved with organising the show, all the bands and especially all the people that came across to watch.
So we're
heading up to Queensland for a couple of shows next week with our good
mates from up there
Nine Iron,
we're doing an 18+ on the Thursday and All Ages on the Saturday, it
should be sick so if your from QLD come check us out and party with us! 29 September Next Friday we're playing our first All Age show in 6 months! We'll be helping Melbourne Punks Mach Pelican release their third full length album 'Radio Action' along with the always rockin' Los Capitanes. Hey Guys, well its been a while
between updates,
Huge Thanks to everyone that voted for us
for the Peoples Choice in the Canberra Music Awards, your all champions
we really appreciated it! 13 April What can I say UCU Bar was nuts, 800 people going off. We had a blast, the crowd was bloody awesome, cheers for getting amongst it all. Hats off the Ferdi from ZDAF for putting together such a sick show and to all the bands After The Fall, Using Three Words and Zero Degrees and Falling, a show to remember. The following night at Pete's was awesome too, good crowd there to celebrate Witty Son's 18th and farewell Sam, I must say there's only one way to be on your 18th and that's off chops with a golden beer bong. Cheers to the other bands Darkest Day, Eldest Son and Stolen Exit great night.
Well we're having a little break
from shows over the next few months, we'll be back soon stay tuned! 24 March How Good was Indyfest! We had a sick time, the crowd was awesome, all the bands we saw rocked. There was a real festival atmosphere, cheers to Bruce and Gaz and all involved with the day. And after all the huff on the new crowd barrier in the Green Room it turned out to be a good move encourages the crowd to get up front, gives the bands something to launch off (which we do not endorse) and it also makes for some good leaning later in the night.
Now on Friday
(31 March) we are supporting
After The Fall @
UCU Bar, Bruce,
its licensed All Ages (that means if you can drink you can if not you
can still come along). Also playing are
Using Three
Words and
Zero Degrees and Falling.
Then on Saturday
(1 April) @
Pete's Bar & Tavern
we are playing our last show (John Farnham style, so we WILL be back
later this year) along with Wollongong's
Darkest Day
and local young guns
Eldest
Son and
Stolen Exit. 24 February Well I guess its about time for a bit of an update, and have we got some news for you. First off we have to thank all the people that have come along to our shows @ Sound Underground with The Brazen Hearts, Nine Iron and Stolen Exit and Pete's Bar with The Brazen Hearts, Argyle State and The White Lie a month or so back. Over the Weekend we played a couple of shows on the Coast, the first was down in Moruya with our good mates Lamexcuse and Switch 3 @ The Waterfront Hotel, so mush fun great vibe down there, cheers to Drew and the boys for getting us down. The next day we headed up the coast to the Gong for a show @ Oxford Tavern with Argyle State and Kampei. You could say we were still a little dusty from the night before and we all know there's only one way the get through that! So cheers to all that came along to the shows great weekend away!
Okay you probably know by now that
as of April we will be having a few months off from playing shows while
Sam is
going off gallivanting around the Americas. Before this you can catch us
playing the All Age
Indyfest
@ The
Green Room
on
Saturday 18 March, we're also stoked to announce that we
will be playing with
After The Fall
@ the UC Bar for a licensed all age show along with
Zero
Degrees and Falling, cheers to Ferdi from Zero and Interact for
hooking us up with this. And finally you can catch us @
Pete's Bar for our Last Show
till late '06 along with
Darkest Day,
Eldest
Son and
Stolen Exit, so
come on down and have a drink with us, good times! 17 January
Ok we're back for 2006 I hope you
all enjoyed the festive season. First off we have to say a big thanks to
every one that voted for us in
Short, Fast, Loud
Top 40 releases of 2005, we didn't quite make the cut, but hey.
21 December
The much anticipated
PunkACT
1st Birthday @ the
Green Room
went off with a hoot on Saturday night. Great way to end the
year, we had a bloody super time. All the bands killed it,
Moments,
The Brazen
Hearts,
Lamexcuse,
Ebolagoldfish,
Unpaid Debt
and
Irrelevant, was good to
party on with you all! Big thanks to all that came along and cheers
to those that help out with Funnels on and off the stage! .
Our first show for the new year
will be up in Sydney on
Saturday 14 January @
Vic On
The Park and
our first Canberra show for the year the following week @ Pete's bar
with our good mates
The Brazen Hearts and
Argyle State and
relatively newcomers
The White Lie.
Thanks to everyone that has given
us your support over the past year, Have a Bloody Great Christmas
and New Years.
Cheers! Epic Flagon Posted By Stu. Currently Listening To: Sommerset- Say What You Want 13 December Punk ACTs turning 1 and yes it’s gonna be a Big One. This Saturday evening at The Green Room sees us playing alongside Irrelevant, Unpaid Debt, Ebolagoldfish, Lamexcuse, The Brazen Hearts and Moments!! It’ll be one hell of a party kicking off 6pm sharp, $2.50 beers till 8pm great bands and only $15, so make sure your down there early. If last years show is anything to go by this is one not to be missed, see you there!! Well we spent the
weekend up in Sydney town, fortunately missing all the bullshit going
down there. Friday we played at the Cat & Fiddle, Balmain along side
My Name Is John, Stifler and The Landspeed Record, a lot of fun. For some
reason the drunkest of us was left in charge of navigating us back
through the City to our Randwick Hotel, with only one wrong turn might I
say! Cheers to all that
came along both nights and the band we played with, we had a great time
and look forward to coming back! 22 November - Well its been a little while since I've updated (sorry Cuff), so here we go... A couple of weekends back we played @ Your Street Party as a part of The Belconnen Community festival. Was a pretty cool day along with Never in Doubt, Strong Like Sam, Australian Kingswood Factory and Twintanks. Thanks to all that gave there support especially the lads that wrote our name on Benjamin Way top stuff. Cheers also to organisers for putting it all on and to Damo from Outtahear for the sound. I've gotta give a Big shout out to Sophie Luck 'Fly' From the ABC's 'Blue Water High' for putting up with us and signing our arms, hope you enjoy the Cd's and shirt.
Well this weekend just past was up to
the Penrith PCYC for Flagon and
Lames
first road trip together. I can't say much for the show, lots of
scenesters hanging out the front while Lame opened the night, 3 other
bands (you know who you are) got a bit of a crowed then when it was time
for us to go on all headed back out to "hang" like good scenesters do.
At least the drinks back at the Top Pub really went down well,
cheers to those that were there for the music and did stick around.

which made for a good time and good show.

from Lamexcuse
jumping up and making a cameo appearance playing 'Whisper' on guitar for
us, Top Job! It was good to
see
Bodyjar again and
meet em, really easy going fellas.
Ok... We've
got a few interstate shows coming up the first is on
